Dear Friends,

2020 was one of the most challenging yet rewarding and meaningful periods in our two decades of inspiring physical, emotional and mental health.

Here are our top highlights!

Sincerely,

Trent Alenik
Executive Director
2020
HIGHLIGHTS
Inspire House
Foundation youth residing at the girls' transitional home took matters into their own hands during quarantine, and created their own mental health community online called INSPIRE HOUSE on Twitch.tv. Unable to meet face to face, the children created an online version of their community on Twitch.tv/InspireHouse, subsequently inspiring others to have access to Jewel’s award winning program around the world. Our youth reached over 1.6 million viewers through yoga, fitness, meditation, and meaningful conversations about their struggles, insights and highlights.
Live from San Quarantine
When COVID first hit in March, Jewel held a “Live From San Quarantine” kick-off concert to help close the gap in our 80% loss in projected funding. It was a huge success - with over 220 million social media impressions thanks to the viral response from over 70 thought leaders, celebrities and the influencers. The event raised over $550,000 in total.
Team Bryan Program
Thank you to the support of the entire Bryan Family (Wayne, Bob, Mike, Michelle, Kathy and Nadia), we've been able to create a best-in-class, high performance tennis & college pathway program that is now being duplicated by 16 other organizations around the country in collaboration with the USTA Foundation. 75+ Nationally Ranked Players
15+ National Titles
9 College Scholarships to Stanford, Brown, USC, San Diego, UNLV, Toronto, Westmont, and Findlay
9 Players Top 20 in America
8 Professional Titles
5 College Players Ranked
4 State Championships

Jewel Never Broken Program
Through Jewel's Never Broken program, we inspire at-risk youth struggling with financial hardship, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation. Together, we've been able to scale our organization and bring our programming to the masses that have included:

INSPIRE HOUSE with 1.6 million views

JewelNeverBroken.com reaching 82,000 people

Mindfulness Curriculum in OH School District reaching 6,000 students

Wellness Experience Festival with 50,000 attendees online and in-person
Woz's 70th Bday
Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple) donated his 70th Birthday to ICF! Foundation youth organized a virtual surprise party for him, advised by his lovely wife, Janet. Instead of presents for his birthday, Janet gifted him with the thing he loves most: Helping others. The event was a huge success with over 50,000 viewers, several national news articles, and raised over $300,000 for our foundation.
Mental Health & Music
To support her nonprofit work with mental health, Jewel created the online concert and talk series “Live From San Quarantine.” She continued the series with experts, thought leaders, and musicians to inspire and equip our country with mental health tools to cope with these challenging times.
Sustainability Retreat
EAT RIGHT = FEEL RIGHT! A big thank you to Kerry Clasby for allowing our foundation youth and staff to spend a week at Malibu Fig Ranch. 2020 has brought a lot of challenges to all of us and we are so grateful to be given the opportunity to rest and reflect on the year. Our retreat consisted of lots of healthy organic food, meaningful talks around the fire, time at the beach, hikes, dancing, music, a talent show, helping around the farm, and Leadership Talks from Beyond Meat Founder Ethan Brown, and Trevor Drinkwater from The Wellness Experience.
World Mental Health Day Summit
The first-ever World Mental Health Day Summit & Concert was held on Saturday, October 10, 2020, and hosted by Jewel and Frankie Grande. The night hosted business leaders, artists, and mental health experts all invested in the same goal: Bringing mental health to everyone.

Jewel was joined by an all-star lineup, including performances from Willie Jones, X Ambassadors, Nicholas Petricca of Walk the Moon, Judah & the Lion, and Brynn Elliott, with appearances from Kroger CEO Rodney McMullen, HAIM, Hilary Swank, Beth Behrs, Chief Medical Officer of Kroger, Dr. Marc Watkins, Misha Collins and more!
Bryan Bros. Birthday Party
Bob & Mike Bryan dedicated their 42nd birthday to our Team Bryan program! They did a 2-hour Instagram Live celebration with friends to raise funds and awareness. Attendees included: Jewel, Andy Murray, Bruno Soares, James Valentine, Gustavo Kuerten, Victoria Azarenka, Redfoo, John Isner, Sam Querrey, Steve Johnson, Kevin Anderson, Jack Sock, Francis Tiafoe, Bethanie Mattek-Sands, Tommy Paul, and Reilly Opelka.
New Youth Home
Thanks to long time supporter Kelly Price, the Foundation acquired a third youth home. Located in a gated neighborhood less than a mile from our main office at Lorenzi Park, this home will provide a safe and healthy environment for youth, alumni and families in need to live, heal and thrive.
Casita Renovation
Marnell Construction was generous enough to renovate part of our youth home into a brand-new room and repairs that make it safe, comfortable and more beautiful for our families.
Cherrial Odell
Not wanting to live, Cherrial has gone from survive to thrive, won the USTA national sportsmanship award, was awarded the Questbridge & Horatio Alger scholarships, and gained acceptance into Stanford University. As part of her post-graduate internship, Cherrial is involved with all aspects of helping run our organization. She's an extraordinary example of someone who has found peace of mind, contentment and the joy of helping others.
Asia Muhammad reaches Semi-Finals of the US Open
Team Bryan alumnus Asia Muhammed, coached by Tim Blenkiron, reached the semi-finals of the US Open and the quarter-finals of the French Open. She also defeated champions Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki. These incredible accomplishments have led to her career-high doubles ranking of #35 in the world.
Alejandro Quiles
Alejandro never got caught into the Las Vegas inner city pitfalls of drug addiction, and drop-out to become the first person in his family to go to college. He earned all A’s, a college scholarship to Dartmouth University, was ranked #8 in the US, and won the national championship in doubles with partner Blake Kasday.
World Team Tennis
Vegas Rollers
Our Foundation was selected as the official charity of Vegas’s pro tennis team. The Foundation youth and alumni accounted for 72% of the staffing, helping to run last years very successful season. Board member Tim Blenkiron served as the head coach of the WTT Vegas Rollers. Alumnus Asia Muhammed played on the team. Alumnus Ricky Sypert was given the key role of assistant general manager, working alongside general manager & advisory board member Sally Dewhurst. Other prominent team members included Bob & Mike Bryan, Sam Querrey, Monica Puig, Kristie Ahn and Ajla Tomljanovic.
2019-2020 College Scholarships
We are proud to announce another spectacular graduating class with students gaining acceptances and earning scholarships to schools such as Stanford, Brown, Dartmouth, Columbia, Harvard, USC, USD, Clark Atlanta, UNLV and Georgetown.
Athletic Results
Big thanks to one of our top donors, Tim Blenkiron, who does not charge the foundation to train our children in need. Our partnership with Tim and the No Quit Tennis Academy allows our students to take part in elite tennis training five days a week. The program has produced five former #1 ranked payers in the USA, and more than 20 that reached top 25 rankings in the USA.

Despite tournaments being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our NO QUIT and TEAM BRYAN players still managed to earn a total of 44 sectional and national championships this year. Our program continues to produce some of the top junior players in the United States, and many of the top college prospects.
Blake Kasday
Blake Kasday has been part of Team Bryan for several years and is the oldest of 4 siblings that are in the program. Blake achieved the #1 doubles ranking in the United States for the Boys 18's doubles division and #20 in singles. Blake recently earned a scholarship to University of San Diego.
National Scholarship Recipients
This is the first time in our organization's history that our high school graduates have been awarded prestigious, nationally recognized scholarships to college. They include scholarships from Questbridge, Horatio Alger, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Rogers Foundation.
Leadership Retreats
Leadership Retreats are one of the most powerful programs we provide. Students are taken out of their day to day lives and placed into new environments, often involving nature, self-reflection and team bonding that gives them a new perspective on life and a greater sense of appreciation for what they have. Retreats include:

Sanford Family Zion Retreat
Colorado River Retreats
Wolfington Family East Coast Leadership Tour
US Open Alumni Retreat
Captain Paradise Environmental Leadership Retreat
Granello Bakery Alumni Winter Leadership Retreat

Thank you to everyone who made this possible :)
Matthew Sypert
Post-grad intern Matthew Sypert has been interning with us full-time since June. His older brother Ricky is a legend within the program, and his sister Micah is part of our Team Bryan Program. Matthew recently oversaw the Physicians & Barristers Ball charity event, and has been working on our new Corporate Health & Wellness Curriculum in New York City.  Matthew will attend UNLV next Fall.
Horatio Alger
Association Partnership
Jewel was inducted into the Horatio Alger Association as a member, and Cherrial Odell was awarded the prestigious Horatio Alger scholarship. We've had four other Horatio scholars join our program and interned with us this year including Destiny, Clarissa, Josh and Mesgna.
Fore Love Event
Thanks to Bob, Mike & Wayne Bryan, along with Jack & Barbara Nicklaus, the 2nd annual Fore Love event took place at Mr. Nicklaus' home and private grass tennis courts in West Palm Beach, FL. Pros that supported the event included Kevin Anderson, Jim Courier, Gaston Gaudio, Guillermo Canas, Coco Gauff, Caroline Wozniacki and Tommy Paul.
Selena Williams
Selena overcame tremendous adversity and won the Bill & Melinda Gates Scholarship, along with the Rogers Scholarship. She started at Brown University this Fall, and continues to stay involved as an intern and mentor to the next generation.
Donated Bus
Thanks to Lawrence Plesko with the When U Dream A Dream Foundation, we were able to secure a donated bus that will be used to bring physical, mental and emotional health to both able & disabled bodied students and families around the West Coast.
ACEing Autism Program
We've expanded our Community Outreach Program, in partnership with ACEing Autism, to serving the autistic and mentally challenged community. The program has been growing rapidly and is taking place both at Lorenzi Park and Craig Ranch Park every weekend. Contact us if you'd like to get involved :)
Newly Branded Vans
Thanks to resident artist @prettydone we were able to rebrand two of our vans in which we transport our students around town and the West Coast for various retreats, leadership trips and tournaments.
Bob & Mike Bryan Retire
Congratulations to Bob and Mike Bryan on an incredible and storied career! We will never forget when TEAM BRYAN youth Cherrial Odell was in the hospital after struggling with suicide, and getting a video from Bob & Mike Bryan from the Australian Open. Not only did they give her a personal message on video, they wrote her a song, and proceeded to play it for her. It was this song and these videos that brought Cherrial out of the repeating negative thoughts that were overwhelming her at the time, to realize that there were people in the world who wanted to help her find happiness again.

Cherrial then followed in their footsteps by getting a scholarship to Stanford University. Bob & Mike Bryan kept in touch with Cherrial and all of their TEAM BRYAN children on a regular basis. Every chance they had, they took the opportunity to help and mentor them, and passed on the wisdom that their parents Wayne and Kathy provided to them… that sports are not just opportunity to have fun and to be creative, but to play music, and excel in academics, and to build life-long relationships with others. On countless occasions, I’ve been overwhelmed with tears of joy seeing the level of support and goodwill that Bob & Mike have offered to the children in our Team Bryan program. When COVID-19 first hit and our Foundation lost 80% of its funding, Bob & Mike Bryan called saying they would donate all of their Foundation's money to help the TEAM BRYAN program get through this challenging situation.
