2020 was a bumpy road, but true progress was made, and smooth pavement was laid, bringing us a little closer towards our shared vision of building a world class active transportation network for our city.
We now have completed 2.5 miles of the trail from Xavier University all the way to Hyde Park Plaza. Next year Phase Four will take the trail east into Ault Park and across the trestle, where Phase Five will then connect to the Red Bank Trail.
Please consider capping off your year end charitable generosity by helping the CROWN Campaign build more trail and helping The Wasson Way bring to life our trail with trees, landscaping, programming and amenities.
Here's how the CARES Act changes deducting charitable contributions made in 2020:
Previously, charitable contributions could only be deducted if taxpayers itemized their deductions. However, taxpayers who don't itemize deductions may take a charitable deduction of up to $300 for cash contributions made in 2020 to qualifying organizations. The law changed in this area due to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act. For more information please refer to: IRS Tax Tips
As always, please talk with your tax or financial advisor about how these provisions might enable you to maximize your impact for The Wasson Way and CROWN Cincinnati.
