AME performed advanced diagnostic testing of a Towboat's propulsion system combining multi-channel data acquisition, motion amplification, route-based vibration analysis, and cross-channel phase analysis. Each of these products are powerful on their own, but when used together, it brings the root cause into clear focus.

When installing a refurbished pump or any component of the drivetrain, it's critical that it's reinstalled in the same precise position so that all the other drivetrain components line up accurately. When misalignment is present, machinery can wear prematurely, and critical vibration can become apparent.
A water management facility recently contracted AME to establish a benchmark position for one of their main pumps before removal for overhaul.

Scientists find upper limit for the speed of sound
"A research collaboration between Queen Mary University of London, the University of Cambridge and the Institute for High Pressure Physics in Troitsk has discovered the fastest possible speed of sound.
The result- about 36 km per second - is around twice as fast as the speed of sound in diamond, the hardest known material in the world."
