Dear Texas Mediator,
Thank you so much for sharing your input on the conference survey sent out this spring. The TAM Board has reviewed all your feedback and met numerous times to formulate a plan for our 2021 Conference. While it was a difficult decision, in consideration of the COVID-19 pandemic and likely future implications to the safety and cost for attendees, and attendance, a shift to a virtual conference for 2021 appears to be the best course of action for the majority of our membership. Houston will then serve as the host city for our next live conference in 2022.
Be assured we will work diligently to create a virtual conference that encompasses the high-quality standards you have come to expect for TAM’s annual event. As always, we aim to provide relevant content, inspiration, connection, and may even be able to offer new flexibility with enhanced session participation options.
Our shift toward online interaction has already begun via our monthly TAM Talks for members on Zoom. The expertise and participation have made those sessions lively and meaningful. We hope to continue to build on that momentum.
Thank you for your flexibility, enthusiasm, and continued support. The TAM Board is grateful to Darcy Thompson and Amber Gong for agreeing to continue as co-chairs for the conference. Stay tuned for updates on our progress. We look forward to your virtual participation in TAM’s 35th Anniversary Conference on February 19-20, 2021.
