2022 Drivers Gear Tech

At your first race of 2022 all you drivers gear will need to be checked regardless of the car has an annual. that is still valid. Car annuals are from the date it was done to the same date the following year ( June 10, 2021 to June 10, 2022) Gear techs are only valid Jan to Dec.

Remember 2010 Helmets are no longer accepted, 2015 and 2020 helmets are valid. Many of you have mentioned you can not find 2020 helmets, so we suggest getting a 2015 helmet which will be good for about 10 years!!!!

Registration and Tech will be checking gear at the January Majors in Buttonwillow for your convenience. Please bring ALL your gear to either location.
We will be back to the track before we know it! 2022 racing starts out with the first SCCA US Majors in 2022 in the West Coast at Buttonwillow Raceway.

Traditionally this event has been at Auto Club Speedway, in 2022 we were not able to secure a date with the Speedway in time to build our schedule for the year and the lack of cooperation with the Speedway on our safety concerns at Auto Club and numerous other issues, Cal Club decided to hold the event at Buttonwillow Raceway!

This year we will not only be remembering Andy Porterfield but will be celebrating the life of long time member and friend to all racers Victor Hertfelder who passed away in November.

Join us for a two day event with qualifying and racing both days! Test day on Friday January 14, 2022 held by the track. For more information on Test Day, Garages, Tires contact Buttonwillow Raceway at 661-764-5333.

Registration will open December 11, 2021 On line registration
