The 76 th Convention of the LCMS Southern District is one year away. Nominations are now open for the offices that will be elected during the convention.

The Nominations Committee Chairman requests each voting congregation to send the names of one (1) ordained minister and one (1) lay member from their circuit to serve on the Board of Directors (Article V.B.1, Southern District Bylaws). Congregational nominations shall be made in accordance with the congregation’s constitution and bylaws.

  • Ordained – Board of Directors
  • Lay – Board of Directors

Names of candidates are also requested for the following offices (Articles V.C.2 and V.C.4.a, Southern District Bylaws), again - nominations to be made in accordance with the congregation’s constitution and bylaws:

  • Ordained – District Secretary

  • Lay – District Treasurer

  • Ordained – District Nominations Committee
  • Commissioned – District Nominations Committee
  • Lay – District Nominations Committee

  • Ordained – Southern District Church Extension Fund
  • Commissioned – Southern District Church Extension Fund
  • Lay – Southern District Church Extension Fund

  • Ordained or Commissioned – Synod Committee for Convention Nominations
