Hello graduates! We can't believe that we are already heading into April, which means we are in the full swing of end of year celebration planning. This is the second newsletter as part of the Convocation Mailer Series where we will update you with important announcements and deadlines. If you missed the first newsletter,

Please note that you will be contacted by a company by the name of Marching Order by April 1st asking for you to upload a photo of yourself that will be used as a part of the SPH commencement send-off. If you would like to include a photo of you in your cap and gown, please make sure to order regalia as soon as possible so you can upload your photo by Marching Order’s deadline. Please check your email/spam folders regularly so you don’t miss out on important deadlines.

If you do not receive the email by April 1st, it means that your data is restricted. Please see the info below on how to release your data.
Please note that there are separate registration forms for students and guests.

Graduate Gifts

If you would like to receive your graduate gift, please fill out the form below by May 7th.
Diploma Order/Mailing Schedule

Diplomas/CeCredentials will only be released to official graduates who have settled all University financial obligations. Review Diploma order/mailing schedule here.
Data Release
Make sure you’re aware of the restrictions you have placed on your data with the University. This can be updated in the Student Link under the Personal tab. You will need to lift relevant restrictions to be included in Commencement activities. Make sure to release “Degrees, honors and awards received” as well as “Commencement Program.”
Student Financial Services
Exit Counseling
 
Federal Direct Loan borrowers must complete Exit Counseling. This can be done electronically at www.studentaid.gov.  If you have questions following your online Exit Counseling, you can schedule an individual appointment with Student Financial Services. 
 
If you received the BU Alumni Loan during your time at BUSPH, you are required to meet with a SFS staff member in addition to completing your online Direct Loan requirement. It is recommended that you complete the Federal Exit Counseling prior to setting up a meeting with SFS.

SFS is fully remote this semester and continues to hold weekly drop-in hours on Zoom every Thursday from 1PM-4PM EST. No appointment necessary. The following link will bring you to the waiting room for the drop ins.

Reminder: Regalia is required to attend the University-Wide ceremony.

Free domestic shipping ends April 1st

The pricing is as follows:
Masters- $113 includes: Cap, Gown, Tassel, Master Hood

Doctoral (Rental) - $95 includes: Gown with velvet panels and sleeve chevrons, Black velvet Keeper tam with attached Tassel, Doctoral hood

Borrowing
SPH has a limited supply of Master’s regalia for students to borrow who find it a financial burden and would be unable to attend commencement otherwise.

Priority will go to students participating in the Sunday May 16th in-person all-university commencement event.

Pick up information will be sent to students who complete the form on a first come first served basis. Pick up times will begin on April 14th.

Loaner regalia must be returned to GSL by Friday, June 4. 
Graduation Application FAQs
How do I check my graduation application status?
You can view your Graduation Application status on your Student Link. Click on the Academic Summary link under the Academics tab. Click on the relevant semester on the left side of the page and look under “Graduation Summary”.

please include your BUID in your email.
