The PI's spent last fiscal year performing early career research along with 47 of their undergraduate and graduate student researchers.
The FOA program achievement deliverable is to submit at least one proposal to a peer-reviewed competitive grant program (research awards) or produce at least one book publication or creative activity (scholarly or creative activity awards). The 2021 FOA awardees have far surpassed that goal with the submission of 31 proposals during the project year. The success of this high-achieving group with be monitored for the next three years.
Unprecedented, before the project year ended, PI Jennifer Byrnes, received an external award for $567,682 from the National Institute of Justice. Congratulations Dr. Byrnes!
