February, 2021
a newsletter about current events & updates
I cannot believe that it is February already. Having lost an entire year of my life - it seems like yesterday we were ushering in 2020. I do have to say that I have managed to switch all of the museum's accounting files from 2020 to 2021 and I did it before the end of January. That's really a major accomplishment for me. I buy pretty folders. I know it's probably extravagant for a non profit organization to spend $20 for 100 pretty colored folders as opposed to the plain ones which are about $10 for 100. But I can't help myself. I enjoy having some luxuries in my business life and colored folders are one of them.

Be well and safe!
If you want something added to this newsletter - please click here! The best thing to send me is a PDF or JPG of a poster describing your announcement. Do not send me press releases. They don't work well in this format and I don't have the time to reformat them. Thanks!

Being described as an outdoor art adventure, Art Beyond will be an outdoor art exhibition focusing on sculptural and installation based artworks. Taking place in and around Ashland, OR, it will be the first of its kind for our region. We have lined up site partners for locating the artworks and space is limited. Artists interested in applying will have until Friday, February 26th by 11:59pm to apply. You will be notified soon after.

Rules and Regulations
All artists are responsible for installation and de-installation of their artworks. Dates for this will be coordinated with your site host. All artworks must be intended for outdoor use, sustaining the elements 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Schneider Museum of Art and site hosts are not responsible for any incidents that may occur to the artworks. By applying to this event, all participants acknowledge the risk involved.

Artists selected will be highlighted on the forthcoming Art Beyond website. Signage located at the sites will have QR codes that will bring audiences to your page on the website explaining the artwork as well as providing your contact information for possible inquiries.
