Fire Department Grants Available

A total of $1 million in funding is available to assist approximately 80 impacted fire departments


  • Eligible entities can receive up to $15,000 in order to make up for lost donation revenues stemming from inability to host local fundraising events in 2020.

  • Those eligible must:
-Be an Illinois combination or volunteer fire department;
-Be in a jurisdiction with a population at or less than 7,500;
-Have an approved annual budget at or less than $150,000;
-Have an OSFM Fire Department Identification Number;
-Be current with NFIRS reports at the time of application.

  • Application deadline is Aug. 13, 2021 with awards expected to be received by October 2021.
