Dear CHCA Neighbors,

It's time for the Clairmont Heights Civic Association annual membership meeting! The meeting will be hosted virtually via Zoom on SUNDAY, May 23rd at 4:00pm. 

The current slate of candidates is:

  • President: Bert Ackermann
  • Vice President: Michael Dowling
  • Treasurer: Hal Bailey 
  • Co-corresponding Secretaries: Cindy Giver and Eric Gilbert
  • Recording Secretary: Nancy Rosetti

CHCA members elect all officers at the general meeting. Members can be nominated or self-nominate from the floor. Our process is governed by our bylaws, which are on our website.

Committee Chairs are appointed by the president and Executive Board. Nominees are:

  • Planning and Zoning: Jim Smith
  • Schools and Community Service: Steve Langdon
  • Transportation: Clint Paden and Kelly Baker
  • Membership: Claire-Anne Gutekunst
  • Communications: Odette Schuler

To fulfill temporary or special roles, the president may appoint chairs for special committees. For the 2021 association year, we anticipate the following appointments:

  • Spring Party: Chris Srubas and Cheryl Bartlewski
  • VA Noise Abatement: Nancy Ciliax

IF YOU ARE NOT A CURRENT CHCA MEMBER, THERE IS STILL TIME TO JOIN BEFORE OUR MEETING!
Please join us as a CHCA Member by paying a $25 annual membership which covers the following:
 
  • Yearly neighborhood Spring Celebration and Halloween Party 

  • Scavenger Hunts and Movie Nights

  • Neighborhood social events like Street & Feet

  • Maintenance and support our neighborhood's website, Facebook group, and newsletter.

  • Support neighborhood plantings and beautification.

  • Honor our high school graduates with banners each year.

  • Represent neighbor concerns to local leaders and work to achieve solutions.

  • Support our local schools through our community education efforts.

IRA B. MELTON 2021 ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
The annual meeting of Friends of Ira B Melton Park will take place virtually on Thursday, May 13 from 7:00 -8:30 pm by Zoom (invitation link is below). We will plan activities in the park and set a budget for next year. All are welcome to attend.
