Welcome Future Scouts!
We are excited to welcome you to Lake Forest High School! In light of the health and safety requirements currently in place, our traditional in-person Scout Experience will not take place this year. However, we are still committed to providing you and your students with a welcoming and informative experience prior to registering for classes at the high school.
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Class of 2025 introductory events.
Curriculum Information Video Series
Friday, January 15
On January 15th we will release via email a series of videos that highlight LFHS course offerings in all of our departments. Instructional Directors will provide detailed information about student course options. Feel free to watch the videos as many times as you want and reach out with questions to the appropriate administrators.
The Scout Experience: Student Stories video
Monday, January 25
This video will be shared with all families on Monday, January 25th via email. With an introduction by our Principal, Dr. Holland, this video highlights stories voiced by individual students and is punctuated with visuals of the LFHS spaces where their journeys occur. We are proud to share the stories of these Scouts and hope your student will find in them opportunities that they would like to explore. Information regarding LFHS activities and athletics will be shared via the same email.
After viewing the Curriculum and Scout Experience videos, please submit questions to Ms. Cindy Rogna in Educational Services firstname.lastname@example.org. All questions are welcome and we will address the most-asked questions during the Scout Experience: Town Hall.
The Scout Experience: Town Hall
Thursday January 28, 2021, 7pm
Then, plan to tune in to a live feed Town Hall designed to provide additional information and answer questions that parents have previously submitted. This student-led Town Hall will offer an overview of LFHS Athletics by Mr. Tim Burkhalter, Athletics Director, and LFHS Activities by Ms. Ashleigh Malec, Activities Director. Previously submitted questions will be read by our student emcees and addressed by the appropriate Departmental or Building Administrators.
All of the videos, including the Town Hall, will be posted on the LFHS website lfhs.org for easy access throughout the spring.
We get excited every year at this time about the process that welcomes the next class of Scouts to Lake Forest High School, and this year is NO exception. We look forward to welcoming you and your students to the high school as the Class of 2025!
