President's Message

Hello Members!

I am honored to be your President. Thank you, membership, for entrusting me to be your spokesperson!

I’d also like to give a big thank you to our outgoing 2020 president, Mary Coutu, for all her hard work this past year. We encountered many unforeseen challenges, and Mary with the help of our fabulous staff, was able to lead us through.

In the coming year, my goals are to:

- Provide an open line of communication for both members

and community.

- Give back to our community through charity and our wonderful committees

- Promote membership education, raising our standards, and ethical practice.

- Promote Diversity throughout our Board.

- Focus on the goals of our Strategic Plan.

As incoming president, I’d like to name the charity of my choice: Be The Change/Project Hand Up, which is based in West Warwick and services much of Kent County and Washington County. This is an independent, supplemental food source--a private organization with no affiliation to the food bank or state funding, which typically helps feed over 600 families each week (662 last week!). They foresee more need this upcoming season with Covid-19 issues affecting more and more families financially. They are a 501c3 charity and are all-volunteer with no paid employees. I look forward to growing a partnership between Be The Change/Project Hand Up and KWAOR.

I have recently met with our fabulous committee chairs and they are all looking forward to servicing our members and the community this upcoming year. We have a great team of leaders and I appreciate all of their efforts.

I am currently attending the virtual NAR Conference online along with our CEO, Linda Arcouette, and our President Elect, Bill Fain. We will be reporting back to you with any pertinent information.

As we approach the holiday season, I'd like to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving.

KWAOR Members Corner

Welcome New KWAOR Board of Directors Members

Laurie Audet of Keller Williams Realty of Central Rhode Island will serve on the 2021 Community Outreach Committee, and has served on the KWAOR Programs Committee in the past.

Shannon Krasnowiecki of RI Real Estate Services has served on the Community Outreach, Grievance, and Programs Committees in the past and will serve on Community Outreach and Programs for 2021.

The KWAOR board of directors meets quarterly, and most committees meet monthly. Check our calendar, our leadership, and committees website pages for more information.

REMINDER: AVOID Late Fees -- Please pay your REALTOR Dues by November 15!

Your 2021 REALTOR^® National, State and Local Dues invoice is now available online. As a friendly reminder - dues are paperless and can be paid by credit card or check. If paying by credit card, you must pay online. Checks can be mailed to the KWAOR office at 2240 South County Trail, Ste. 3, East Greenwich RI 02818.

To access your invoice, go to KWAOR’s website homepage and click on the Member Login button (in the upper right corner of the page) to access the member portal. Log into your account by entering your username and password. If you don't know your username (which is your NRDS ID Number unless you've changed it) or password, or if you have questions regarding your dues bill, please contact us at 885-9300.

The deadline is THIS SUNDAY, November 15, 2020. Staff is available to help over the phone Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You can also drop your payment by check or money order in our secure drop box which is to the left of our office front door.

Please participate in the Foster Forward Pajama Drive

WHEN? TUESDAY DECEMBER 1ST FROM 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

WHERE? Foster Forward Office 55 S Brow Street in East Providence, Rhode Island

Drive up to drop off your donations.

HOW? Buy a NEW pair of pajamas size Infant through Teen. ALL sizes needed. Deliver them to Foster Forward AND, you just might spot Olaf from Frozen during your visit.

All pajama donations go to foster children and youth who live with foster families or in group homes. Last year this effort collected 400 pairs of PJs--can you help to make it 500 this year?
