2021 Prize Day Details

Dear St. Mark’s Families,

We are looking forward to celebrating the Class of 2021 at St. Mark’s 156th Prize Day ceremony on Sunday, May 30. While the program for Prize Day weekend is still evolving based on guidelines and requirements from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as well as developing protocols from the St. Mark’s Health and Safety Task Force, we are pleased to be able to share the following details with you at this time. Please watch your inbox for additional information in the weeks to come.

156th Prize Day Ceremony
St. Mark’s 156th Prize Day ceremony will be held on campus on Sunday, May 30, at 10:30 a.m. under a tent on Belmont Field. Graduates may bring up to six (6) guests. The Class of 2021 will sit together in a socially distanced manner; families of graduates will sit together at tables in parties of six.

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is requiring that guests register with the School in advance of the ceremony. Only those who have registered will be allowed to attend the ceremony. There will also be a screening process for COVID-19 symptoms for all guests. Details on this process will be forthcoming. Guests must wear masks at all times. Graduates must wear masks at all times, except for designated photograph locations.

Prize Day will be livestreamed from the St. Mark’s website. More details will be communicated closer to the date of the event.

Baccalaureate will take place on Saturday, May 29, at 8:00 p.m. under the tent on Belmont Field. Families of graduates are welcome to attend. The limit of six family members for each graduate will be in place for this event as well. This event will be livestreamed.

Class of 2020 Diploma Ceremony
A diploma ceremony for the Class of 2020 will be held on Saturday, May 29, at 10:30 a.m. At this time, we anticipate that this ceremony will be open only to families of the Class of 2020 and faculty members. More details on the Class of 2020 ceremony will be shared with those graduates and their families in a separate communication.
