I am writing this after spending the weekend with the Board of Directors, our Executive Director, Caitlin Smith, and a consultant, Marcy Cottle. We met via Zoom to work through the 2021 Strategic Plan which is a critical part of governance for a non-profit organization.
Normally, this planning occurs in person over several days. However, with the pandemic still precarious, we made the decision to forge through on Zoom. I want to take this opportunity to thank this dedicated group of very busy professionals for taking the time, energy, and focus to work through this critical process in less than ideal circumstances. New Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity Recertification Requirement
|
ICEA recertification will now require 4 hours of education/training in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity. This requirement will begin on January 1, 2022. We will be providing opportunities through ICEA approved CE’s that will be announced as they become available. Other sources of education must be preapproved to be counted. READ MORE

USBC Benefits Now Available to ICEA Certified Professionals

ICEA Certified Professionals and those working towards certification are now eligible for U.S. Breastfeeding Committee (USBC) benefits! The first benefit that will be accessible to any individual affiliated with ICEA International Childbirth Education Association will be a discounted registration to attend the 2021 National Breastfeeding Conference & Convening.
