The learning environment will provide a safe place for students to learn. All mandates by the health department will be in place.
Classroom Set-Up
Classroom doors will keep open during the day
Air filter will be placed
Desks will be spaced apart
Desk shields will be placed at each desk

Students will bring own laptop with headphone and will not share stationary
All students and staff will be required to wear a mask
Before Class
Due to the parking lot being blocked, students will be dropped off curbside at Brea Canyon Road, and walk to TLE building.
Students will have temperature checked upon arrival.
Employees will also complete the health screening on a daily basis.
During Class
Parking lot will be covered with canopy, and will be reserved and blocked for lunch and break. No parking and thru-traffic allowed.
Recess
Recess will be outside in the parking lot.
Elementary and Middle School students will stagger recess time to allow social distancing to safely interact and connect with friends.
Each student will have their own standing spot and always stay together with same group of students (called stable group)
Students may bring refillable water bottles and snacks to enjoy during recess. No shared snack. Staff members will call them out one by one to wash hands, fill water, go to their spot at the parking lot.
Lunch
Lunch will be outside in the parking lot.
Canopy and tables will be set and spaced apart.
Assigned seating
Students bring their own lunch. Individual meal plans must be ordered in advance.
Microwave not available to minimize the food handling and virus spread.
Bathrooms and common areas will be sanitized frequently.
Visitors (including parents/guardians) will not be allowed to enter TLE building during camp hours for any reason. Communication will be through phone call or text or email instead.
Students that develop symptoms (i.e., fever, cough) during camp will be moved to a pre-designated isolation area to keep away from others. Parents/guardians will be asked to pick up immediately.
After Class
Pick up will be curbside. Parents/guardians call/text the office, and the office will dismiss the student out.
All classrooms will be disinfected at the end of the day and sealed after cleaning until the next day class use. TLE will use electrostatic sprayer with disinfectant on the EPA list which is used against COVID-19.
Bathroom, front office and common area will be disinfected at the end of the day.
