The Silver Oak Jumper Tournament was founded eight years ago by Jeff Papows and is a registered 501(c)(3) charity that supports animal rescue efforts. The 2020 season marked the event’s inaugural move to Traverse City, Michigan, home of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, American Gold Cup, Traverse City Spring Horse Show, presented by Turtle Creek Hotel & Casino, the FEI North American Youth Championship and the USHJA Zone 5 Team/Platinum Jumper Championship. Highlight events at this year's Silver Oak Jumper Tournament include the $37,700 GGT Footing Welcome Stake, the $37,700 Speed Classic, as well as the $139,500 Agero Grand Prix.
