CPP Program - Key Updates
Flu Pre-Book Reminder and Updates
Please don’t forget about pre-booking your flu vaccines for the 2021-2022 flu season. Here is a summary of details and updates from our flu vaccine partners:

Sanofi Pasteur (Fluzone, Fluzone High-Dose and FluBlok)

  • Pre-book by February 28, 2021 to receive an enhanced discount on Fluzone Quadrivalent presentations. If not taking advantage of this discount opportunity, the pre-book deadline is March 31, 2021.
  • Orders can no longer be cancelled before they are shipped. 2021 UPDATE: Up to 10% of confirmed doses can be cancelled before they are shipped.
  • Reduced returns allowance for each presentation of influenza vaccine purchased directly from Sanofi.
  • 2021 UPDATE: If Sanofi Pasteur does not meet in-season monthly shipping commitments for September and October, customers will be given an option to reduce or cancel the volume of doses missed within the monthly commitment.

Sanofi Pasteur has made these changes in the hopes that the updated returns and cancellation policy will provide additional flexibility to adjust your reservation as your patient demand becomes clearer throughout the year.

AstraZeneca (FluMist)

Updated pricing and program details for FluMist can be obtained by contacting the CPP office. Orders can be made through authorized distributors of FluMist (McKesson, FFF Enterprises and Besse Medical).

  • 2021 UPDATE: The Early Pre-Book discount window has been extended through April 30, 2021 or as supply remains available.
Prevnar 13 Discount Reminder
Starting in January 2021, CPP members can now access a discount on Prevnar 13 vaccine purchases. Each member needs to self-register for this discount. If your practice is still paying list price for this vaccine, contact the CPP office for detailed instructions for how to enroll in this discount opportunity.

2021 Vaccine Schedules
The CDC has published updated immunization schedules for 2021. Among the notable updates are:

  • Vaxelis (DTaP, IIPOL, HIB, HepB) added as a combination vaccine option (More details will be sent to CPP members about this vaccine in the coming months.)
  • Added MenQuadfi (MenACWY-TT) to the list of meningococcal ACWY vaccines
  • Removed any reference to zoster vaccine live (ZVL, Zostavax) since it is no longer on the market
  • Added links to FAQs for ACIP Shared Clinical Decision-Making Recommendations

Valuable Resources
Grant Opportunities for Improving Child Health

Recent CDC data shows declining vaccination rates due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an effort to combat this trend, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) Maternal & Child Health has created a P4 Challenge to encourage innovative solutions to increasing well-child visits in a primary care setting. Applicants can apply for Phase 1 by March 15, 2021 to be one of 50 applicants to receive $10,000 to deploy their proposed approach in Phase 2.

Don’t forget that CPP also has a 2nd Dose Grant Program where members can earn an educational grant up to $1,000 to examine 2nd dose completion rates for vaccines that require more than one dose to complete the series, implement an intervention in the office to help improve these rates, and share best practices with other CPP members.

We know you are already working hard to get patients into your office for routine checkups and to stay current on vaccines. Earn some grant money to help offset the administrative costs of your efforts!
