It's the last day of 2021 and what a great year of golf it was for South Carolinians. One of our most prestigious awards we give is the WSCGA Player of the Year and WSCGA Senior Player of the Year. This year, like others, there was a close race for the WSCGA Player of Year with only a 56 point differential. The POY Committee had a hard decision to make and distinct criteria to follow in naming this years winner. The player that checked all the boxes, and 2021 Player of the Year is Anna Morgan.

The 2021 WSCGA Senior Player of the Year was a three-peat by Jayne Pardus. Jayne has dominated the Senior Division since she turned 50 three years ago and doesn't look like she is going to let up anytime soon. Her continued steady play in every event whether locally, state, or national reinforces her confidence each time she tees it up.

Anna Morgan from Spartanburg, SC is the 2021 WSCGA Player of the Year. She 5th in the 73rd WSCGA State Amateur Championship, Runner-up in the North & South Women's Amateur Championship, made it to round of 64 in the U.S Women's Amateur, and T3rd in the Carolina Women's Amateur. Anna is a junior on the Furman's Women's Golf Team and this is Anna Morgans' second WSCGA Player of the Year.

Jayne Pardus from Mt. Pleasant, SC has secured her 3rd consecutive WSCGA Senior Player of the Year. She defended her title and won the 4th Annual South Carolina Women's Open - Senior Amateur Division, secured Back to Back to Back wins in the WSCGA Senior Championship, T4th North-South Senior Championship, made it to round of 32 in the U.S Senior Women's Amateur Championship, 10th in the Women's Southern Championship, and was 3rd in the WSCGA/SCGA Mixed Team Championship. This is Jayne Pardus's 3rd consecutive WSCGA Senior Player of the Year Award.
