Master Classes in Session
Fine Art students in LaGuardia's Fashion Design Class are currently participating in masterclasses with the Marc Jacobs fashion group! Teams from the fashion company discuss what they do in their department and how they got into the fashion industry. The class has met with members of the Runway and Jewelry teams, where they discussed designing with Marc, as well as creating the Marc Jacobs fashion shows. In future seminars, they will discuss product development and merchandising.
Many other industry professionals have been teaching masterclasses to LaGuardia students this fall, including alumni Anthony Evans (M&A '79), who taught Gospel Choir students his hit song "Never Alone" from the 1980 Fame soundtrack
Zuleka Diamond (LaG '14), dancer and choreographer, recently taught a class for the Dance department.
Drama students are enjoying exciting extracurricular enrichment classes like Exploring Musical Theater, Songwriting, Voiceovers, Audition Intuition, and Playwriting (with LaG '02 Drama alumna Cayenne Douglass).

"I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Ms. Douglass's playwriting class. I learned a lot and I truly enjoyed getting back into writing. She gave helpful comments and constructive criticism, and overall helped to improve my writing skills. I would definitely recommend this class for anyone looking to write for plays or just writing in general." - Filippo, Drama Sophomore
