2021 Ministry Recap

MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM WB!

Life can be so confusing sometimes that we forget the basics about JESUS

-He was born to save His people from their sins

-He lived as the Way, Truth and the Life- He spoke, healed and died

-He rose from the grave so those who trust in Jesus can know they are forgiven and have life forever

Our privilege: All believers are Jesus ambassadors 24/7

WB 2021 Review

1-Weekly EMAIL NEWSLETTERS sent to a mailing list of 1,000

  • Each email is meant to encourage readers to make Christ known where they live, move and have their being.
  • Actual vs Theoretical- Each email newsletter involves actual real life witnessing examples.
  • It takes at least 2 days to recap the encounters- Ted puts the newsletter together, Trinda then adds graphics to Ted's newsletter, Tudi proofs the final product and Ted does the final review. Finally, each Wednesday at 6 am est Ted sends the witness encouragement to 1,000 people across the US.

2- Ted's goal is to apply the FFAAIITTH ACROSTIC to his encounters with people (as described in the 2021 WB website)

3-In 2021, the WRISTBAND is, without a doubt the #1 tool to make the Gospel clear and concise (to avoid rabbit trails). An added benefit is the personal humility associated with the words: "I am a sinner, Jesus Christ is my Savior, John 3:16" I usually add- "All have sinned and that’s why I claimed Jesus as my Savior. My goal is to grow in grace as I study His word, and proclaim Jesus as the Way, Truth and the Life."

Often I ask, “Have you claimed Jesus as Savior from all your sins as described in the wristband?”

WB TRAINING TOOLS:

1-WB FFAAIITTH ACROSTIC-

It took 30 years to put together the Acrostic to help people truly learn to love others in the witness process

2-WB WRISTBAND-

There have been 1,000’s given out (see explanation below) It only took one hour to put the words of the wristband together based upon the comments and needs expressed by believers in witness training. Over many years I became acutely aware how less the 5% of those who profess Christ as their Savior ever say His name in normal conversation!

3-WB Weekly NEWSLETTER-

For approximately 15 years our email newsletters are sent weekly to 1000 people, most have not been to any WB training seminars. The goal is to share “fresh” witness examples each week.

4-WB Group TRAINING & GROUP EVENTS-

20 -30 people gather for training weekly. The highlight to me is the table interaction and reporting back; lecture and group interaction are balanced in all 2021 training. Black and White witness training sessions via Zoom.

Church of the Apostles (COTA) 6 week WB Stretch training and WB Big Canoe Chapel 8 week training. In addition we have quarterly REPORTING BACK SESSIONS at the BCC

The GROUP HIGHLIGHT in 2021 was A JOYFUL NIGHT celebration at Church of the Apostles (COTA) attended by approximately 300 people. There were many outstanding testimonies, music and heartfelt prayers. By God's Grace, I was privileged to share my testimony and the WB ministry with the audience. For approximately 40 minutes, Dr. James Saxon Director of Evangelism for COTA asked me questions about our lives, conversion, ministry and family.

The evening had a tremendous positive impact on me that I will never forget. This prompts me to ask the question- "Why don’t more churches have an evening of people with varied backgrounds sharing their planned testimonies?"

5-WB SUNDAY SERMONS & FELLOWSHIP GATHERINGS-

These are designed to encourage people to join in our training sessions

6-WB's 5 BOOKS-

  • Golfers of Men
  • Witness Breakthrough
  • The Master’s Touch
  • If We are the Light, Why Is America so Dark?
  • Stretch

After each Chapter in these books there are questions for individual/group interaction.(excluding the Masters Touch)

WB'S 2021 RESPONSE TO COVID- and what it means to Ted and Tudi.

We have adopted some new deeply meaningful practices as a response to Covid-19

DAILY MORNING PRAYER-

Tudi and I start the day (Mon-Sat) with a devotional that Tudi reads and we discuss. We then pray for our friends and family.

FRONT PORCH MINISTRY-

Tudi’s idea during COVID was to have neighbors (some we know and some we don’t know) over to our front porch for dessert and coffee. It's been a simple, yet wonderful outreach

EXERCISE-

Both Tudi and I use exercise to meet and reach out to people.

Tudi swims, walks and golf.

Ted walks the trails and walks and carries his clubs while golfing.

COUSINS FELLOWSHIP-

Our 6 grandchildren and 2 daughters are spread out in Southern California, Jackson, MS, Mobile AL, Birmingham, AL, and Atlanta Metro area. Thanks to Zoom we have been meeting weekly for nearly 2 years.

Our relaxed agenda-

1-we unhurriedly get caught with everyone

2-read and discuss a recent WB Email newsletter

3-Tudi records each person's prayer requests, then daily we pray for all the requests. It has been a blessing for sure…and it all started with Covid!

LADIES OF THE LAKE WOMEN'S OUTREACH-

Tudi enjoys developing new relationships with the women in our Big Canoe community. Each month they take a pontoon boat ride together, complete with fellowship and appetizers.
