2021 Year In Review
It was great to bounce back from a rough pandemic year. We have seen golf continue to grow and thrive as one of the fastest growing junior sports in the country. This year, 273 unique individuals filled 347 spots, the largest turnout since 2015, and a 16% increase from 2019. Plus, 78% of students who participated in 2020 came back - a record high. Thank you for being part of our First Tee Family!
Grace Smith and Lexi Humbert became the first two Ace-Certified students in the history of First Tee Tri-Cities. They are both in college and received a scholarship for their outstanding effort and dedication to the program. We are extremely proud of them!
William Carrier (Ace) and Linfan Li (Eagle) were two of the eight-member PGA Junior League All-Star team from Tri-Cities. They won the Tennessee State Championship, Regionals, and competed for the National Championship in Arizona: televised on ESPN. What a tremendous achievement!
Our first annual fundraiser: "The Gathering" @ The Olde Farm was big success, with Carson Peters providing the entertainment. 70% of our program depends on the generosity of donors, and we are extremely grateful to those who enable us to change lives by delivering golf and life skills curriculum to thousands of young people across the region.
