RECOGNITION - PLAYER

PAIGE ROBERT RECEIVES THE FUTURE LEADERS AWARD!

Ottawa would like to congratulate Paige Robert on her MilkUP Future Leaders Award. The Centre Circle Award winners will be honored at a luncheon on September 24 in Toronto.

The Centre Circle Awards are Ontario Soccer’s highest level of recognition and are presented annually to deserving soccer leaders and organizations nominated on the basis of their outstanding contributions to the development of soccer in Ontario and Canada.

Paige started with Ottawa TFC at age 6 in the grassroots programs. She matured into one of the club’s top goalkeeper graduates, winning national championships, provincial championships, OPDL titles along the way, capping off this last summer season with a gold medal in the Women's Premier division and an Ontario Cup gold medal (a 5th provincial gold for Paige). She joins Bishop’s University this fall along with teammates Katie and Shannon Phee, with hopes of pursuing a graduate Law School program after her bachelor’s degree.

GRASSROOTS

U4-U8 SUMMER GRASSROOTS SEASON HAS COME TO AN END!

We ended our 2022 Summer season with a bang, a huge champion’s league tournament followed by medal handouts to all of the young players, and some great pics thanks to our “paparazzi” presence. Congratulations to all of our young stars on a great summer season and we can’t wait to see you in our Fall/Winter programs!

Thank you as well to all of our coaches, parents, and staff for a great season!

If you did not pick up your medal on the last day, they are available at the clubhouse during office hours.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

GIVING BACK TO THE COMMUNITY!

As a community-based club, giving back to those around us is part of our culture. Coach Sher, the latest addition to our staff, has immediately bought in and is providing kids near his home with a free weekly session where they can let loose, make new friends and enjoy the beautiful game!

RECOGNITION - REFEREE

CONGRATULATIONS TO CASSANDRA BESSETTE!

Cassandra has been named the OPDL SoccerX Match Official Of The Month for August 2022! An eager and attentive referee with lots of potential, Cassandra is in her first year as a match official. She has taken on progressively more challenging assignments within the district and was upgraded ahead of schedule to level 5 in the summer. In July, she worked as an assistant referee for a U16 Ontario Cup game and in August did her first OPDL assignment as an assistant referee for U14 boys.

Ottawa TFC would like to take this time to thank all referees and assistant referees for a great summer season. If you are interested in becoming a referee next summer, send an email to our head referee, Chris Wade.

OPEN LEAGUE

THAT'S A WRAP FOR THE U9-U18 OPEN LEAGUE!

Ottawa TFC would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported the Open League program, this summer. That includes parents who volunteered as convenors, coaches and other team leaders, OTFC's staff coaches, Youth Coaches and referees and all the "office" staff who do all the boring stuff like making sure that we have our fields booked.

Registration for the fall/winter season is in full spring: 4v4, Rec Tech and more. Visit the website for more information.
