There are many different definitions of success, and many different paths to get there. Through hard work and passion, LE students and staff are experiencing success, and taking opportunity to learn from others who have acheived it.

The Logan Elm Band of Pride continues along the road of success

On Friday, September 9th, the band participated in the annual Battle of the Bands at Pickaway Ross Career and Technology Center. This annual event hosts high school marching bands who parade around the school and perform at 3 stops for Pickaway Ross students. The students then vote for their fan favorite band. Logan Elm finished 2nd, behind Unioto.

On September 24 & 25, The Band of Pride competed at Bloom Carroll and Grove City. The Band received 2 First Place Class B finishes, B/C Grand Champion at Grove City and won Best Guard OVERALL at Bloom Carroll.

The high school band also performed for the 5th and 6th grades at Salt Creek, inspiring the younger students to begin their musical journey. 5th grade students then had the option to participate in "meet your instrument" night to experience each instrument to see which was a good fit.

Hard work and passion leads to success

LE Senior, Preston Nichols, has been accepted to be a part of the Ohio Music Education Association All State Choir this year! This is a select, auditioned group with between 100-120 students from all across the state. The All State Choir will perform at the OMEA professional development conference in February.

The American Legion recognized Heath Bennett as 2022 Ohio Educator of the Year. The high school art teacher was nominated by Bill Frost for the work he and his students did to enhance the American Legion building in Circleville. Bennett and his high school students painted the seal of each military branch and a large mural on the outside of the building as well as a wood 4 foot by 6 foot piece inside the building.

Senior football player, Blayton Reid, broke the school's record for a single game rushing yards in a 35-14 win aganist Fairfield Union. Reid had 310 yards during the Friday night game. In outside interviews, Reid shared the success with his teammates, saying his offensive line is "like family."
