Migrating your appraisal office into a paperless appraisal office has never been easier! In this update seminar, to an offering held ten years ago, you will relive how much things have changed and learn how to take advantage of technology to avoid costs and waste associated with using paper products, as well as increasing productivity and income. This seminar will present the best of trends, technology, and techniques to help real estate appraisers succeed in the current digital world.

Andy Sheppard, MAI, has been a commercial real estate appraiser in Georgia for 24 years and currently heads Pritchett, Ball & Wise, Inc. with offices in Atlanta. Mr. Sheppard has a wide variety of experience, with a concentration of work in Atlanta and several specialties involving properties throughout the region. Mr. Sheppard has also served in or led most of the Atlanta Area Chapter’s committees and served as its President in 2017. In addition to developing and teaching multiple courses for the local Chapter, Mr. Sheppard has provided classes to a wider regional level of Chapters, including “Technology Tips for Appraisers” and “Document Automation for Appraisers.” The current offering, “The Paperless Office: 10 Years Later,” draws from Mr. Sheppard’s long history of employing technology to cut out unnecessary expenses and wastes of time which can make any appraisal office run more efficiently.

2022 National Appraisal Institute President
Master of Ceremony
Pledger M. (Jody) Bishop III, MAI, SRA, AI-GRS, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, is the 2022 president of the Appraisal Institute. Bishop’s one-year term as president will be followed by one year as immediate past president in 2023. He also will serve on the Appraisal Institute’s Executive Committee and on its policy-setting Board of Directors. He also will be chair of the National Nominating Committee in 2023.
 
Bishop is currently senior managing director of Valbridge Property Advisors in Charleston. He previously was a partner with Atlantic Appraisals, LLC, an associate appraiser with Appraisal Consultants and a senior staff appraiser with the Charleston County Assessor’s Office.
 
He has chaired the General Demonstration of Knowledge Grading Panel and has served on the Admissions and Designations Qualifications Committee. He has served as president of the South Carolina Chapter. He also is an Appraisal Institute associate instructor, has been a seminar and webinar author, and has served as discussion leader at the Appraisal Institute’s annual Leadership Development and Advisory Council conference.
 
He was named the 2018 recipient of the Edward W. Adams, SRA, Outstanding Board Service Award, was presented a 2017 President’s Award and received a 2017 Volunteer of Distinction recognition.

CE Credit
The AI has approved the "Paperless Office ..." seminar for 15 AI Points. The GA Real Estate Appraisers Board has approved 3 hours of CE. 100% attendance is required for credt.
