Chapter Regents,
I am excited to welcome you to the registration for the 2022 ASDAR State Conference. We are going back to a more traditional scheduling format with our in-person event after missing two years. You will see some surprises in our schedule including our sponsorship of a replica Tomb of the Unknown exhibit in the State Capital and a service opportunity within our event.
Author Jeff McKenna will be speaking at our luncheon on Friday with 100 copies of his book to purchase with a portion benefitting ASDAR financially. There is something for everyone!
Instead of verbally reporting at State Conference, I am going to ask each Chapter Regent to complete the following:
-
Finish your Chapter Narrative and submit - The submission should be 400 words or less in Ariel font at a size 9 and single-spaced. These reports are emailed to the State Regent and State Recording Secretary and will be included in the Annual Yearbook. Use the new online submission form from the 2022 State Conference website to send this information directly to VIS for compilation.
-
Send a copy of a picture of one activity your chapter was able to complete in 2021 to state.conference@arkansas-dar.org by March 1. Your service will be highlighted on the Thursday night evening session of the State Conference.
Attached to this email you will find the 2022 ASDAR State Conference Packet which contains all documents needed for Conference including; the credentials form you will need to complete for your delegates to vote at State Conference; State Conference Registration forms; information on the Veterans Kitchen Kits service project; and the State Regent's Project. Some forms are fillable, download and save the packet to your device.
I am looking forward to celebrating the Magee Administration and introducing new leadership for ASDAR. We can't wait to see you!
We Rise by Lifting Others,
Gretchen A. Magee
