AMERICAN REGION
2022 Annual Mass & Meeting
Monday 4 April 2022

Dear SoM Members and Friends:

With great pleasure we announce that the Society of Mary American Region's 2022 Annual Mass and Meeting will take place at the Church of St. Uriel the Archangel, Sea Girt, New Jersey, on Saturday 14 May.

The day's schedule is as follows:

10:30 am -- Rosary
11:00 am -- Mass
12:00 pm -- Lunch (approximate time)
12:30 pm -- Annual Meeting
The preacher will be the Rev. John W. Conner, Priest-in-Charge at the Church of the Incarnation, Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Fr. Conner is a long-standing Society of Mary member who contributed articles to AVE when he was a seminarian at Nashotah House. Two members of the SoM Council attended his recent ordination to the priesthood.

Rosary and Mass will be live-streamed on the parish's website. (Go to the homepage at urielsg.org and scroll down for the Streamspot viewer.) The Annual Meeting following in the parish hall will be in-person only. All are welcome to attend the meeting; only SoM members in good standing may vote.

To assist with planning and catering, those attending the luncheon are asked to reserve a place no later than Friday 6 May by contacting the parish office by email at urielsg@optonline.net or by phone at ‭(732) 449-6173‬. Please indicate the name, email address, and phone number of each person attending.

A $10 per person donation is asked to help cover the luncheon's cost. This can be paid by mailing a check ahead of time (Church of St. Uriel the Archangel, 219 Philadelphia Boulevard, Sea Girt N.J. 08750-2718; please write "Society of Mary" in the memo line), or by check or cash on the day itself.

Located on the north Jersey Shore near the intersection of the Garden State Parkway and Interstate 195, Sea Girt is easily accessible by car from New York, Philadelphia, and further afield. The nearest major airport is Newark Liberty International; the nearest Amtrak stations are Trenton and Metropark.

St. Uriel's hosted the 2015 SoM Annual Mass and Meeting - an occasion memorable for the parish's warm welcome and gracious hospitality. It will be a wonderful location for our first in-person American Region gathering since 2019. We look forward to seeing as many as possible of our old and new members and friends on this joyful occasion.

With all blessings for Holy Week and Easter,
