2022 CMP Rifle National Matches

Dear Rifle Competitors,


We are excited to welcome you all to the 2022 National Trophy Rifle & National CMP Games Matches July 24 – August 8, 2022.  Here is some last minute information:


WELCOME CENTER: You must check in at the CMP Welcome Center, located next to the CMP Headquarters, prior to your 1st scheduled match.   Here is a link to the directions to Camp Perry along with a Map: https://thecmp.org/cmp-national-matches/directions-to-camp-perry/.


The Welcome Center will open on July 24 at Noon for Rifle & Long Range Check in.  Here you will find the Welcome Center Hours: https://thecmp.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/In-Processing-Calendar-2022.pdf.


Before arriving, we recommend downloading and completing the following forms (if needed):



Note: Notaries will be on duty at the National Matches Welcome Center to notarize Eligibility Affidavits if needed.


Welcome Center/Check-In includes:

  1. Provide your emergency contacts
  2. Sign or provide an Eligibility Affidavit and Liability Form or confirm that you have previously signed one of these forms (Juniors under 18 must provide a signed Parental Consent Form)
  3. Confirm your entry data
  4. Receive your competitor labels and scorecards
  5. Receive your squadding information
  6. Receive your National Matches Program and Welcome Packet


Check-in will also include rifle inspection and trigger weighing.  The CMP Armors will be located across from Young Range and will be open during Welcome Center Hours (plus 30 minutes after the Welcome Center closes).



TEAM CARDS:  Team cards will be available for purchase when the CMP Welcome Center opens.  You can also register your team ahead of time here:

SMALL ARMS FIRING SCHOOL COMPETITORS:  It is recommended competitors attending Small Arms Firing School/M16 Match check in by Friday July 29 (between 8AM – 6PM).  Classroom instruction will begin promptly at 7AM on July 30 at Hough Theatre.  When attending the classroom instruction competitors will need their scorecards and books (received during check-in).  While on the range competitors will be required to wear hearing and eye protection.  We also recommend sun block, bug spray and snacks.  Water will be available on the range but competitors are allowed to bring small coolers with them.



SALES:  The CMP Memorabilia Store will be located inside the CMP Welcome Center.  Competitors will find many different National Match items available for purchase.  The Memorabilia Store will be open when the CMP Welcome Center is open.

With a small inventory on hand at the CMP North store, rifle and ammo sales during the 2022 National Matches will be limited to competitors only. NATIONAL MATCHES AIR GUN EVENTS:  The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) invites you to participate in the 12th annual National Matches Air Gun Events. These events are part of the National Matches at Camp Perry. Their purpose is to offer additional competition opportunities for National Matches pistol and rifle competitors as well as for anyone who wants to shoot in the National Matches with their air pistols or air rifles. Rental rifles and pistols are available and competitors may purchase pellets at the range. Open practice is also available throughout the National Matches. All of these events will take place at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center on KTS optical targets.
