External Affairs Team Recaps 2022 Legislative Session
Federation External Affairs Department Director Brian Hardin is joined in studio with Agricultural Legislation Director Preston Roberts and State Legislative Programs Director Russ Durrance to review the 2022 Regular Session of the Alabama Legislature. The trio discusses legislative victories for Alabama farmers and forest landowners including passage of the 2022 Farm Package and targeted budget appropriations for education, research and promotion. In Memoriam
Alabama Farmers Federation expresses sympathy to the family of Rep. Steve McMillan, R-Gulf Shores, who passed away Thursday. McMillan served in the Alabama House of Representatives for more than 40 years. He was 80. McMillan announced in January he had been diagnosed with three brain tumors and would be undergoing treatment. He had decided not to seek reelection. McMillan was the dean of the Alabama House. He was first elected to the District 95 seat in a special election in 1980.
