2022 Elementary Science Fair Results
At Northland, Science Fair is an educational rite of passage for fifth graders preparing for middle school. It is a time when their scientific skills, creativity, and presentation talents are challenged as they courageously step up to succeed. Each year, students choose their project idea and then proceed through the scientific method to arrive at an educated measurable conclusion. They then are interviewed and judged by ExxonMobil Science Ambassadors, who join forces with Northland to promote Science and Robotics Education.

Congratulations to this year’s fifth-graders for stepping up to the challenge and excelling.

Sumobots Annual Competition
The Science Program's annual sumobot competition was back in play on the elementary campus. As a closing to our science fair season and robotics unit, each 5th grader got the opportunity to design and program a robot to compete against classmates. At the end of the competition, the winners received medals and sweet treats.
The students (and Mrs. Owens) get very animated and excited during the competition as this series of photos below illustrate!
