Voting is the language of democracy and is at the core of what it means to be an American. As the daily mailings and incessant TV ads won’t let us forget, early voting for federal & state elections have begun with Election Day on November 8th. Importantly, November is also the time each year to elect candidates for our HBC Board. Absentee voting is in progress now with in-person voting happening November 13th from 2-6 PM.
Your board members not only set direction for the Club, they are also critical to the day-to-day operations. Casting a thoughtful vote is important. We are a mature business of approximately 700 members with bocce courts, full kitchen and bar generating substantial income each year. We need board members with the experience, skills, and time to run and improve this diverse business. We need leaders who will not just attend monthly board meetings, but ones that will lead events, leverage community relationships, and recruit the support of our broader membership. Please carefully consider who is best equipped to meet these requirements when making your vote.
