The Morehouse College National Alumni Association is pleased to announce our first Alumni Artist Spotlight. For our initial showcase, we have partnered with Jason Evans Barrett '98 to showcase his collection entitled "The Power of the Muse”.
In anticipation of our upcoming live art event in conjunction with the February 19th Candle in the Dark gala, we wanted to provide an appetizer to whet the appetites of existing art collectors and neophytes to the art world alike. Brother Evans Barrett's work takes much direct inspiration from his time spent at Morehouse along with the professors who helped mold him and who helped support his endeavors as he sought to perfect his craft, including 2022 Bennie Trailblazer Honoree Dr. John K. Haynes ‘64.

(YMLC) is an annual, FREE, one-day conference that offers empowerment, enlightenment, and guidance to middle and high school males of color in the Greater Boston community (grades 7-12). By encapsulating and effectuating the mission and vision of Morehouse College "to produce academically superior, morally conscious leaders for the conditions and issues of today," the GBMCAA hopes to maximize the potential of young men of color.
