Shrine Food Caravan - October 15th
Al Kader HP&P Forrest Hatch is coordinating this year’s Food Caravan for Al Kader and Hillah Chief Rabban, John Rall, is coordinating for Hillah.
Noble John Rall has requested each club and unit head to notify him what their members plan to contribute at: 541-507-7590.
So far this year, most clubs have indicated they plan to make financial contributions rather than food. Total value of the contribution should be reported to John by phone or email wjohnrall@live.com. Checks should be mailed to the Hillah office and will be relayed to Forrest Hatch at Al Kader. Any club or unit that plans to donate food or other items directly, should make arrangements to deliver it to Al Kader Shrine Center between 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm on the October 15th. The donated items will then be loaded onto a pallet and transported to Birch for storage. Since the hospital has limited storage space, Al Kader will be working with Birch Community Services as in the past. They provide transportation of items from the Al Kader Shrine Center to their storage area and then to the hospital, when needed.
It is important that we track the value of the food and other items that we donate to the hospital. Please provide a list and approximate value of these items to John by Wednesday,
