Happy New Year everyone! This monthly e-newsletter is prepared for our caregivers as an update of the Hub's services and community resources, as well as to share caregiving experience and insights, all for the purpose of supporting caregivers in their journey of healthy living and caregiving.

Due to rising cases and concerns about the Omicron variant, we have suspended or changed to Zoom all in-person workshops in January and early February. And all of our Zoom workshops are running as planned.

Zoom Workshop Spotlight
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has summarized answers for a list of health care questions, including where to go for critical conditions, general health concerns, COVID tests/vaccination, urgent medication refill, health advice, etc. It also provides tips for avoiding slips and falls, road safety, winter sports and recreations, etc.

Family Caregivers of BC (FCBC) supports caregivers in all of BC by providing access to relevant information, education, and supports. Today we select three of their many good resources here: 

At this time, vaccination proof and ID must be scanned EACH time at entrances of Seniors Centre and Aquatic Centre. Programs have been updated based on Public Health Order (PHO). See more.

Tax season is about to start. CRA has updated a big list of useful links including tutorial videos, topic specific webpages, tax programs and services for residents.

United Way BC has launched a campaign of community recipe book. A book that not only shares our passion for great food, but also stories of success, innovation, and inspiration. Over recent few months they are collecting recipes, photos, and stories from community to compile and share.
