Dear LJSC Patrons,

As you are aware, we are in the midst of yet another COVID outbreak, caused by the Omicron variant. In the interest of the safety of our patrons, musicians, and staff, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our January and February concerts. We are closely monitoring and following all UC San Diego and local public health guidelines and recommendations, and we are hopeful that we will be able to return to live performance for the rest of our season, beginning with the concerts on March 12-13. We are excited to announce that we have added two new concerts to the season! Details about these inspiring new opportunities can be found here.

La Jolla Symphony & Chorus Viewer's Choice:
We would like to hear from you! What were your favorite virtual concerts ? Fill out this brief poll here by Wednesday, January 10 and we will create a “Best-of” virtual concert experience, based on your responses.

As of the date of this message, all LJSC concerts after March 1 are scheduled to be performed as planned, but we will let you know right away if anything changes. We have often said that the La Jolla Symphony and Chorus is like a family. Families take care of each other. Our pledge to you is that we will monitor the continuing COVID-19 situation closely and will share our season plans with you before the end of January.

Please feel free to reach out to us here with your questions and concerns. As always, we thank you, our loyal patrons, for your support and understanding.

Sincerely,

Stephanie Weaver Yankee, DMA
Executive Director, LJS&C
