Cast your vote in the 18th Annual MY HERO International Film Festival. There are many wonderful short films, made by professional filmmakers and students from around the world, that are official selections in this year's festival. 

This year, our film festival team has curated three special public ballots. Each has several short films, with a total approximate viewing time of 30 minutes. Watch the films online and vote for your favorite People's Choice, For a Young Audience and Made by Kids for Kids. The 2022 Public Voting Ballots will be available online from Oct 7th - Nov 7th. 

This activity can be completed during one classroom session or as a family event.

Viewing and voting on selected short films from our festival is a great way to explore the theme of heroism and the art of filmmaking. MY HERO has also created a companion Teacher's Guide to Online Voting in the Classroom. For a link to these and other resources, please read on.

Each year, The MY HERO International Film Festival welcomes a new wave of heroes and the filmmakers who share their stories with the world. Our staff has interviewed, and written stories about, some of this year's filmmakers.

Join us November 19, 2022, for the Special Awards Ceremony of The MY HERO International Film Festival. Winning films will be announced and celebrated and clips of selected shorts will be screened. The festivities begin at 2 pm (PST).

MY HERO Media Arts Resources are available online to support those interested in making their own short films. Submissions for next year's MY HERO International film Festival will be accepted in January, 2023.
