The California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has recently released the Multifamily Finance Super NOFA and final Guidelines for the Multifamily Housing Program (MHP), Infill Infrastructure Grant Program (IIG), Joe Serna Jr. Farmworker Housing Grant Program (Serna), and the Veterans Housing and Homelessness Prevention Program (VHHP).
The Multifamily Super NOFA offers an opportunity to apply for up to four HCD funding sources simultaneously and includes approximately $650 million in total available funding.
How to Apply
The application documents and Application Portal (SNAP) will be available no later than May 6, 2022. The application was previously scheduled for release on April 20. This, however, has been postponed in part due to the delay in the release of HUD’s 2022 income and rent limits, which will be incorporated in the application’s underwriting section. Additional time is needed to ensure seamless functionality in integrating calculations in the application and thorough testing of new income limits for accurate underwriting.
