Message

Georgia Exchangites!

A lot of things are happening across the great District of Georgia! Fundraisers are going on, as well as fairs and other gatherings.

It is not too early to make plans for the Georgia District and National Exchange Clubs Conventions. Information will be coming shortly on price, date, and location. Stay tuned in to newsletter, website, and Facebook for details. The convention will be held in Columbus, Georgia, with the best downtown Riverwalk in the state of Georgia.

Our membership numbers were DOWN by 1 person (net) over year to year. We really need to work hard to recruit new members and grow the largest district in the Exchange.

I am pleased to inform The Exchange members that very shortly we will be chartering a new Club in Leesburg, Georgia. It appears that new club will charter with at least twenty-five new members. The sponsoring Club Albany will be holding the final organizational meeting November 14th, to iron out final details before requesting Club Opening Meeting.

Again, please don't hesitate to reach out if there is anything I can do for you or your club. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thank you for all you do for Exchange!

Excited about Exchange,

 J. P. Cooper

Veterans Day is a day to respect those brave souls, who went to war to serve the country and preserve our rights as we know today. Those of free speech, the right to choose a leader, to have self-direction and freedom, even the right to be stupid and ignorant or intolerant. Mostly young men teenagers and early twenties went out to defend these freedoms, they suffered with crappy food, living in ditches full of water, freezing cold or for some torturously hot. Crawling in mud. They developed trench foot a horrible condition because they couldn't keep, they shoes dry. Some dealt with mosquitoes and developed malaria, suffering what would probably make you cry. Some lost an arm or legs, others hearing or eyesight, fingers or toes. Some with broken minds and awful nightmares and many still have today, and they are the lucky one that returned home after their service to their country. Veterans deserve our respect for their bravery and to be remembered. " Your story for serving may go untold in many corners of this world but your patriotic actions and service to protect our way of life are never forgotten.   Heroes generally do not have to speak to be heard, because their actions, sacrifices, and tears are captured  in the most enduring and patriotic image of our Nation "-- the American Flag.

Thank You, to all Veterans for your Service to keep the United States of America, Free so we can enjoy the Freedoms of our country.
