Dear Friends,
The City of Palo Alto and Supervisor Joe Simitian are sponsoring the following surveys to hear from you about what are your top priorities for 2022?
Please weigh in!
For some history, Sky Posse launched the first effort to ask the City of Palo Alto to make aircraft noise and pollution a high priority for the City to address. The City has since devoted staff time and held meetings on the City’s public agenda, commissioned a professional study, supported the Select Committee as an alternate member, and provided meeting space for the effort. The City has sat on both the SJ Ad Hoc Committee and SCSC Roundtables, and assigned Councilmembers to work regionally including with the SFO Roundtable. This continued commitment by the city is thanks to YOU.
2022 is an important year: The FAA and local airports are making changes that may affect you, with no validation yet from the FAA that these actions will reduce noise for Palo Alto and its neighbors. As these changes are implemented, we want our cities and leaders to step up and act on our behalf from a position of strength to measurably and fairly reduce noise and emissions. In 2022, we will need MORE resources, and more attention.
For the City to act, Council needs to keep hearing from you!
