Dear Esteemed Members of the San Marino Parent Community,
I am exceptionally proud to inform you that with the assistance of the high school administration, the District has been able to verify that 33 of our seniors have been accepted to UC Berkeley this year. These students have received letters of acceptance and may or may not decide to attend in the fall. There may be additional students who have been accepted but have not yet uploaded their letters of acceptance to our high school Naviance system. Naviance is a comprehensive college and career readiness software program to provide students with college planning and career assessment tools. It is voluntary that students upload their acceptance letters; as such, it becomes challenging for us to verify the number of acceptance letters received by our seniors from each college or university.
Below is a link to a list of college/university acceptances that we have been able to verify as of today’s date:
Once all students have made determinations on the university or college that they will attend in the fall, the high school administration will provide a comprehensive presentation to the Board of Education on where our students will attend next year. I am incredibly proud of the work our teachers, counselors, and administrators have done to prepare our students for their journey to higher learning, and the quality of the schools our students are getting into this year speaks to the amazing college preparation being undertaken in our schools. We are all so excited and extremely proud of our graduating class of 2022!!!
Sincerely,
Linda de la Torre, Ed.D.
Superintendent
