Paul Oakley Stovall is an artist and activist based in Chicago. He is a 2022 Tony award winning producer for A Strange Loop on Broadway and currently plays George Washington in Hamilton on the first national tour. Most recently he was the creative director and head writer of Juneteenth Unityfest, sponsored by the Robert Randolph Foundation, We Are Family Foundation, and Stand Together Foundation. He is currently working on an eight-episode limited series about Frederick Douglass and his time in Ireland in 1845, along with an original LGBTQIA+ dramedy series entitled Fathers and Sons. His first film BUFFALO (producer, writer, lead actor) was a finalist at aGLIFF in Austin, and for the IRIS Prize in Cardiff, Wales, the largest LGBTQIA+ film festival in the world.
