  • We added 567 employees, including many rehires since the pandemic.


  • We honored 72 employees celebrating milestone anniversaries with the company during our 138th year in business.


  • Complete Building Services (CBS) renewed four large contracts and won a new contract at the Pentagon, adding 6.5M square feet of managed space.


  • Donohoe Construction (DCC) exceeded safety standards and project excellence to earn Associated Builders and Contractors Top Performers award and Accredited Quality Contractors designation.


  • Donohoe Development (DDC) made progress on five significant development projects and started construction on AC Hotel/Residence Inn Reston Town Center to close the year.


  • Donohoe Hospitality (DHS) added six new hotels to its pipeline and exceeded 2019 pre-pandemic revenues to have its best-performing year. 


  • Donohoe Real Estate Services (DRES) expanded its brokerage capabilities to include Occupier Advisory and Capital Markets business lines.

➡ Renewed four contracts for a combined $6M annually:

➡ New Construction executed two Groundbreakings and three Topping Outs.


➡ Rapid Response responded to 218 opportunities, completing 194 and counting.

➡ Earned a top spot on the 2022 Top Performers List, the STEP Platinum Safety Award, and the Accredited Quality Contractor designation from Associated Builders and Contractors.

➡ Received Associated Builders and Contractors Excellence in Construction award for Cambria Hotel Washington, DC Capitol Riverfront.

➡ Completed the initial rollout of Autodesk Project Management software integrated with JD Edwards.

➡ Rapid7 performed an external and internal Cyber Security Audit, resulting in zero critical risk factors for Donohoe network security.

➡ Updated our IT helpdesk with 130+ instructional tutorials and a virtual IT orientation.

➡ Instituted the DocuSign e-signature platform companywide.

➡ Improved performance and efficiencies of the Donohoe network.

Donohoe Development

➡ Achieved zoning approvals and a demo permit to build 200+ residential units at 5151 Wisconsin.

➡ Achieved Sketch Plan approval and community support to build 300+ residential units at 5500 Wisconsin and helped to form the Friendship Heights Alliance with Jad Donohoe as Chair.

➡ Received hotel approval as a part of the Clarendon Sector Plan update to bring Bingham Center Hotel to Clarendon.

➡ Upton Place on Wisconsin's West Building topped out and signed leases for most of its retail space.

Donohoe Investments

➡ Closed on $74.7M in construction financing with Artemis Real Estate Partners to build AC Hotel/Residence Inn Reston Town Center. This project was developed by DDC and will be built by DCC. DHS will manage the completed hotels, and CBS will maintain the facility.

Donohoe Hospitality

➡ Recovered 85% of 2019’s pre-pandemic total revenue for the hotels in our portfolio 2019 and now. Inclusive of six new hotels, we exceeded 2019 revenues to have our best year ever.


➡ Added six new 3rd party hotels to our management pipeline:

  • Residence Inn Harbor Point, Baltimore, MD
  • TBD Reunion Square Hotel, Washington, DC
  • Residence Inn HIll East, Washington, DC

➡ Won Hilton's Award of Excellence at Homewood Suites Reston for performing in the top 5% for guest satisfaction.

Thomas Penny was named one of Washington Business Journal's Power 100, and Leticia Proctor was named one of the International Hospitality Institute's Global 100 and Top 25 Most Influential Women in Hospitality.


Raised over $21K for DC Central Kitchen and Covenant House Greater Washington to help fight hunger and homelessness in our communities.

Social Committee


Orchestrated fun social events for Team Donohoe, including a St. Patrick’s Day Party in the Park, the annual company picnic and holiday party, and themed HQ happy hours.

Volunteer Committee

Supported A Wider Circle with 400+ Donohoe/CBS employee volunteer hours, a $20K sponsorship, and extensive donations from companywide donation drives for school supplies, Thanksgiving food, and holiday toys.

Women's Leadership Initiative
