Strengthening Families Program/

Programa Fortaleciendo Familias

A FREE 7-week series that helps families with tweens and teens build trust, decrease stress at home, and have fun together! We have three in-person programs starting soon (one in Spanish and two in English):

Mental Health First Aid

Take the fear and hesitation out of conversations around mental health and substance use concerns. Learn how to safely identify and support other adults with potential mental illness or substance use disorder.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Anyone age 18+ who works with and supports young people can benefit from learning the five-step action plan for a mental health or substance use concern or crisis.

Overdose Response

Our free online course has the information and skills needed to help save a life from an opioid overdose. Information about how to get free naloxone (aka Narcan) will also be provided.

Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) - Suicide Prevention

Learn how to ask directly about suicide, listen non-judgmentally, and connect them to care in this free, 90-minute online training for anyone age 16+.

Breastfeeding Class

Open to new and expecting parents in Skagit County, our WIC clinic offers online courses in English or Spanish at no cost to help families address common concerns and get feeding off to a good start!

CPR/AED/First Aid

Learn lifesaving techniques from our Red Cross Certified trainers to receive certification that meets most workplace requirements and lasts for two years! Classes are offered in hybrid or traditional in-person formats for your convenience. Discounted registration for income-limited participants is available:

  • Traditional in-person course | Cost $100 | Saturday, February 18 from 9 am- 1 pm
