Tazzarin Outward Bound
A small group of friends gathered on the dock at the Manchester Yacht Club this morning, there to wish us a bon voyage. The last several days have been a blur of final preparations and the challenge of finding stowage space on a 36-foot boat for the myriad of gear, supplies and provisions for the next two and a half months of sailing some 3,600 miles.

Annie made sure we were well provisioned with yummy foods. Michelle Finamore presented us with some of her home baked cookies as a parting gift.

Greg Bover is at the helm, Carl Doane beside him in the cockpit as I sit below writing this email. Glorious sailing! We have a gusty wind out of the northwest, blowing 25, gusting over 30. We are making good time and thankful that northwest breezes tend to take the fog away. We are making six to seven knots down the rhumb line bound to a buoy off of Brazil Rock off of Cape Sable. The buoy is about 230 miles to our east across the Gulf of Maine and into Canadian waters. We are making good time toward our next destination, Halifax, Nova Scotia.
