Bill and I have cruised many miles aboard Tazzarin. We’ve been from Manchester up to Grand Manan and Passamaquoddy Bay and everywhere in between. (Bill has done much more than that of course including racing to Bermuda numerous times and visits to Sable Island. I prefer the role of shore crew for those trips :) . I am in no way as intrepid a sailor as Bill and he goes out of his way to ensure that I am comfortable on our voyages. I’m so looking forward to our adventures north aboard Tazzarin soon (even if getting there by plane makes me more nervous than the actual sailing!) As we wait for the adventure to continue we have been playing tourist shore-side. I have been lucky enough to grow up near the ocean and have ready access to it but I never tire of visiting different coastal communities and either sitting for extended periods of time admiring the view, searching for lucky stones or poking into small homegrown museums. As he does as Tazzarin’s captain, when on shore Bill seems to find the most out-of-the-way places: yesterday we followed a deserted dirt road to the end and were treated to a spectacular view from Cape St. Francis. Tonight we made our way to the tiny village of Quidi Vidi for one of the best meals I’ve ever had at an 1820s house turned gourmet restaurant. Following Bill as he seeks the path less travelled is a treat. (Photos above and below by Annie)
