A change in plans. Annie was due to fly up today to hopefully head of sailing. However, the last few days have been one delay after another regarding the needed engine parts. I honestly am not sure the remaining parts were ordered. Or, there are some really bad delays going through customs. Whatever it is, it is not working. Enough is enough.
So, I boarded planes for the flights back home. I have checked inventory at the Westerbeke factory in Massachusetts; they have the needed parts in stock for my Westerbeke diesel. I have ordered them and they will be at my house in Beverly Farms on Monday. I will get in my car and drive the parts east and north and by ferry to Newfoundland. I should be back in Newfoundland by very late Tuesday and have the parts to the machine shop on Wednesday. I am taking it all into my own hands and getting this resolved.
For Annie and I, today is our anniversary. So, we will be together. She will join me for the drive back north and hopefully spend a little time sailing with me before the end of the coming week. I probably should have done this sooner; yet, I kept believing what the machine shop and distributor in Newfoundland were saying.
So, let's all hope this plan works and Tazzarin gets sailing again soon!
