I am sitting at home in Beverly Farms, waiting for the engine part delivery that is due today. I find my mind thinking back over my life around the water. I actually grew up here in Beverly Farms and sailing out of Manchester Harbor.
That is my dad in the top photo. He is at the helm of his boat Enchanted in the 1970 Newport Bermuda Race; renowned as one of the rougher runnings in the event's history. Just below that is my mum at the helm of the boat; I think it is on the return trip from Bermuda which she did a number of times.
The photo below shows me in the back, my older brother Bob in the middle and my younger sister Isabel in the front. I am thankful for my parents introducing us at an early age to the world of sailing and for the many adventures we shared together as a family over the years. Of the many things we did as a family, I am most thankful for the sailing!
On to more adventures under sail...
