NATIONAL PHILOPTOCHOS SUNDAY --- Nov. 12
November 1st was the feast day of Sts. Cosmas and Damianos, the patron saints of Philoptochos. In honor of these holy men, a basket will be passed on National Philoptochos Sunday to benefit the philanthropies of the Ecumenical Patriarchate, such as Baloukli Hospital and Nursing Home, schools, and shrines.
PHILOPTOCHOS ANNUAL CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE --- Sun, Nov. 12
This year’s Giving Tree will benefit the MacCanon Brown Homeless Sanctuary. They’re looking to collect new toys to give to each child. Beginning Sun, Nov. 12, stop by the Giving Tree to choose a gift tag, and return your gifts unwrapped by Sun, Dec. 10. See flyer for further information.
STEWARDSHIP DRIVE FOR 2024 --- Sun, Nov. 12 & Sun, Nov. 19, 2023
We are excited to announce that stewardship presentations by Gene Wright, George Panagiotopoulos, Johnny Koremenos, and Fr. Ciprian Sas will be offered on the Sundays of November 12 & 19. Presvytera Demetra “Toula” Trifon fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the age of 73. Her funeral will be at 11:00AM on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church, preceded by visitation at 10:00AM. Additional visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield, on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, with Trisagion at 7:00PM. May her soul rest in peace among the saints and may her memory be eternal.
Joanne Sanidas fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the age of 85. The Funeral Service at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church will be on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 11:00am, with visitation preceding at 9:30am. May her soul rest in peace among the saints and may her memory be eternal!
