July 1, 2023 -- Today is the first day of the fiscal year for the 2023/2024 CCA-PTO.

We wanted to take this opportunity to share how the 2022/2023 PTO Committees heard your feedback in the end of year PTO survey and has taken steps to implement solutions to our parental concerns, hopes and suggestions.

A new committee was created and Chair/Co-chairs elected to the Cardinal Meet-Up Committee. They are already working on Meet-Ups for students and families to meet other Cardinal families this summer and as the year progresses.

Summer Cardinal Meet-ups

You asked for and it's happening .... Our first Cardinal Meet-up is happening soon - July 8, 2023 at Country Park.

Parent Meet-Ups

Another set of Meet-ups are being specifically organized for Grade Level Parents to meet up on a few Sunday afternoons when school starts with the opportunity to order dinner, meet other parents and learn some important information.

Lunch Vendor Tasting Night

Feedback was received on preferences, hopes and concerns regarding the hot lunch survey. A committee specific Hot Lunch Survey was sent to families AND the first Hot Lunch Vendor Tasting Night was hosted at our last PTO meeting.

Some people wanted more information nights and the PTO hosted a Zoom Family Tech Talk meeting and the School/Admin hosted a School Safety and Security Zoom (see link below).

Magnets

Many families have asked for NEW Cardinal Magnets and the new design was made available in our first Apparel Store June 16 - June 30. Our next opportunity to order will be July 16 - July 31.

Outdoor Play Space

Families asked for more outdoor play activities and as a result of the funding assistance provided by the CCA-PTO to our school, they were able to provide professionally painted activities on the recess blacktop.
