Avoid lines during move-in - Upload your photo for your Granville Towers ID using the instructions sent out in our August 1 email.

• As part of your lease, you are required to submit proof of liability insurance. You can review the requirements in our July 31 email.

Move-in takes place by appointment only from Tuesday, August 15 until Sunday, August 20.

Step 1: Arrive on your move-in day as indicated by your appointment time slot.

Step 2: When you arrive at Granville Towers, you will be greeted by a Granville staff member or Security guard who will note the time of your arrival in our parking lot on a parking pass. S/he will also log your cell phone number. Please place this pass on the passenger side dashboard of your car as soon as you receive it.

Step 3: Drive directly to the tower where you have been assigned. Our staff will assist you with directions to the appropriate unloading area. You will park your vehicle in one of the designated 45 minute unloading spaces closest to your tower.

You should plan to limit your unloading process to 45 minutes, even if you have multiple vehicles.

Important Note: We ask that you limit your move-in caravan to no more than two vehicles. It is also preferable that your vehicles be able to fit into standard sized parking spaces.

Step 4: Residents should go to the Cyber Café to pick up their keys (parents, alone, may not check in their student). They will need to show a photo ID before keys are issued. Once the student has the keys, the student and any family members/friends helping with move-in should begin moving items from the vehicle to the room. It is imperative that this is done very quickly since your time in the Granville parking lot is limited to no more than 45 minutes.

Once the items have been unloaded, you will need to relocate your vehicle to a paid lot close to Franklin Street (a list of alternate parking options will be available).

For those who purchased a parking permit:

The resident should visit the Cyber Café on the West side of the Agora during the check in process to pick up that permit. Please affix the permit to the car's windshield immediately. There will be designated parking spaces for students with permits, and you will be provided with instructions for moving to those spaces when you receive your permit. You should move your vehicle with the affixed permit to one of these spaces as soon as you finish unloading and within the 45 minute limit.

Please note that the way your mailing address is displayed in the Resident Portal may not be correct, depending on which tower you're assigned. Here's how the addresses should be formatted:

The Agora at Granville Towers will be open with limited hours during move-in:

Tuesday, Aug. 15: CLOSED

Wednesday, Aug. 16: 11am-2pm

Thursday, Aug. 17 - Sunday, Aug. 20: 11am-7pm

Regular hours of operation will begin on the first day of class, Monday, August 21:

Monday – Thursday: 7am-8pm

Friday: 7am – 7:30pm,

Saturday – Sunday: 10am – 7:30pm

Late Night Dining:

Sunday – Thursday from 8:30 pm - 11 pm

Access to Late Night Dining for all residents is through the Carolina Square courtyard entrance.

Stop by the Agora for lunch and/or dinner August 16-20. Residents can use their meal plans during this time.

Parents and guests can eat for $7 per meal. Meals may be purchased with debit or credit card only at the checkstand on the West side.

As a reminder, we do not provide any assistance or equipment to help move in your belongings. We recommend you bring your own carts, dollies, etc. In addition, we do not have tools available for use to assemble furniture or decorate the room.

Maintenance requests can be submitted on our website via the Resident Portal (click on the three vertical dots at the top).

Once you're in the Resident Portal, click on the "Service Requests" icon.

The Unit Condition Form can be accessed in your Resident Portal. It must be submitted within 24 hours of your check in. We strongly encourage you to complete this form before you move in all of your belongings while you can still easily see the entire room.

During move-in, we will have large dumpsters outside of each tower as well as cardboard recycling containers for the disposal of boxes.

Any packages you have shipped to Granville will need to be picked up from the package center, located at West Desk. We are unable to deliver items to your room.

Parents and family members should consult their resident for their mailing address.
